Acquisition of Casual Entertainment Network Expands Pangea Media’s Reach and Enhances Offerings

Pangea Media, a leader in online quizzes and quiz technology, announced today that it has acquired LaughNetwork, a network of Web sites focused on humor, quizzes and casual entertainment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With this acquisition, Pangea Media expands its reach into new verticals and demographics and offers users a more diverse range of interactive content though LaughNetwork’s more than 100 web sites including: Funnies.com, YourSpaceIsBest.com, HopelessRomantic.com, PositiveThoughts.com, SnapPoll.com and others. The sites contain greeting cards, viral animated flash content, social media tools, jokes and quizzes. More than 200,000 unique visitors access LaughNetwork sites each day resulting in more than one million daily page views.

“The LaughNetwork acquisition is part of Pangea Media’s strategy to expand our reach in the casual entertainment space and provide our user base with premium content that is entertaining and engaging,” said Seth Lieberman, CEO of Pangea Media. “In addition, the integration of the LaughNetwork sites and content will provide our advertisers with additional opportunities to extend their ad campaigns and target new audiences.”

Pangea Media operates a network of quiz and casual entertainment Web sites, including QuizRocket.com, Quibblo.com and MyCareerQuizzes.com. Pangea Media’s sites enable users to take and/or create quizzes and share them on site, off site and through social media channels. Pangea’s network of Web sites offers users an interactive experience while providing marketers with a mechanism for creating a dialog with customers through integrated brand messaging around relevant content.
